Sometime in the year 2012 a few retired Professors from PES College of Engineering envisioned the establishment of an engineering college which would provide quality education to aspiring students at an affordable cost and cater to the growing demand of qualified engineers in our country. Thus the trust Mysore Royal Education Trust was established in the year 2013 and Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology opened to the engineering degree aspirants from the academic year 2015-16.

The sprawling ten and a half acre campus is situated in the midst of lush green sugarcane and paddy fields of Palahally in Shrirangapatna Taluk of Mandya district. The college is easily approachable from both Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway and Krishnaraja Sagar main road.

Shri S.Chandramouli was born on 19th April 1962 in Mandya to B.Siddegowda(Nyamanahally) Joint director of agriculture dept. and Nagarathna M.J(Mandya). He has two siblings S.Shailaja(B.Sc) and S.Vasanth Kumar(Exec Engineer B.B.M.P Bengaluru). He started pre schooling in Carmel convent and further schooling in Madkeri Bheemaiah High school in Bellari, Municipal high school Mandya and VC farm high school Mandya. Later joined P.E.S college Mandya for Pre-University studies and graduated in BBM from Banumaih’s college Mysore in 1983.
After graduation, he worked at India Poultry Farm and Komarla Hatcheries. With the experience and expertise gained there he established his own business starting with poultry farm,Hatcheries,Feeds factory and developed an interest towards civil contracting, finance, Real estate and started Sumathi Stone Crusher and M-Sand plant in the year 2000 and other businesses and has become a successful entrepreneur.
He is married to Asha M.S and has two children: Ashik Chandra M.C and Thrishati Mouli M.C.
He has eagerly involved himself in social services and leadership roles. He has held the following positions over the years:
  • President for Housing Board Prasanna Vidhya Ganapathy Temple Mandya.
  • Former Vice President for Mandya District Poultry Association.
  • President for HUDCO Nivasigala Balakedarara Sahakara Sangha.
  • Director for Mandya Vartakara Patina Sahakara Sangha.
  • Treasurer for M.R.I.T Engineering College Mysore.
  • Pradhana Karyadarshi for Mandya District Sahitya Parishath.
  • Pradhana Karyadarshi Mandya zilla Sahitya Lions Club and few other public services.
Dr. Ramalingaiah was born in 1957 at Akkur Hosahalli in Ramanagar Taluk. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Siddaganga Institute of Technology , Tumkur and obtained Bachelor’s degree from Bangalore University in 1983. He started his teaching career in PESCE from 1985. He completed his Master’s degree in IIT Kharagpur and PhD from University of Roorkee. In the year he took VRS and joined as founder principal of MRIT in 2015. He was the staff association president.
Dr. K B Boraiah is the Secretary of Mysore Royal Education Trust since its inception in the year 2013. Born in the year 1947, he studied Electrical Engineering in National Institute of Engineering and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Mysore in 1970.
He joined the PES College of engineering as a Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering in 1970 and retired as Professor & Head in the year 2005. He obtained his Master’s Degree from Madras University in 1978 and Doctoral Degree from the University of Mysore in 1998.
He was the founder Principal of the Maharaja Institute of Technology and served from 2007 till 2010. He is also involved in social service through Krushik Sarvodaya Centre, Mandya as Treasurer.
Dr. H S Suresh Chandra studied Civil Engineering in PES College of Engineering, Mandya and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in 1982 from the University of Mysore. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Kakatiya in 1988 and the Doctoral Degree in 2013 from the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. He served PES College of Engineering from 1984 in various capacities, as faculty member, coordinator of MTech programme and Civil Engineering Consultancy Cell.
He has also designed and supervised the construction of many blocks in PESCE. He also has been a Civil Engineering consultant for various organisations like Mandya Municipal Corporation, Vijaya Bank, KLAC etc. He has published more than 30 technical papers in various national and international journals and conferences. He is a member of several Indian professional bodies.
He joined Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology as Principal in the year 2018 and served till May 2022. Presently he is the Vice President of the Mysore Royal Education Trust and looking after the development of the infrastructure of the Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology.
Professor G N Nanjegowda is the President of the Mysore Royal Education Trust since its inception in the year 2013. Born in the year 1950 at Gopanahalli village in Mandya district, he studied Electronics & Communication Engineering at PES College of Engineering, Mandya and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Mysore.
Then he served his alma mater in various capacities as Lecturer and Professor till his retirement. He studied Applied Electronics at PSG College of Technology and obtained his Master’s Degree from the Madras University. During the course his career in PES College of Engineering he has developed Optical Fibre laboratory from scratch and upgraded the Integrated Circuits laboratory. He is an accomplished academician and loves teaching.
