Transport Rules & Guidelines
All students and staff using MRIT transport are expected to follow these guidelines to ensure a safe and comfortable commute for everyone.
- Students should reach the designated stops at least 5–10 minutes before the arrival time of the bus at the stop. Bus will not wait.
- Bus pass will be issued to the students. Traveling by college bus without a valid bus pass is not allowed.
- The student must keep the bus pass issued by the college with him/her.
- If a student fails to show the bus pass at the time of checking he/she can be heavily fined.
- Using mobiles with loud speaker 'on' is not allowed in the college bus.
- If a student causes damage to college bus in any way he/she shall have to pay for the loss or damage.
- Any act of indiscipline in the college bus will not be tolerated.
- If a student abuses/fights with bus driver or his/her mates he/she can be suspended forthwith or heavily fined.
- In case of any bus problem or complaint against driver do not argue or quarrel with driver. Please report the matter to the college authorities (SPOCs).
- To minimize travel time the minimum distance between two consecutive stops is 750m (0.75km). No stop will be given in between. Students should board the bus only at the designated stops.
- The college staff (Faculty members and Non-teaching staff) also travel in the college bus. One or two front row seats (depending on the number of staff) are reserved for faculty members and female non-teaching staff of the college.
- Eating food inside the bus and making the bus dirty is not allowed, especially leaving food covers in the bus.
- No student should board the bus before the scheduled time. If any student is found seated in the bus before the scheduled departure time, the college staff including drivers have every right to deboard such students.
