Department Overview
The Department of Civil Engineering offers a four-year undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering program focused on the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure — roads, bridges, airports, dams, railways, and sewage systems. The department combines strong theoretical foundations with practical skills and community consultancy.

The Department of Civil Engineering, Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology (MRIT), organized an industrial visit to Mysuru Airport for its students. The visit provided practical exposure to airport infrastructure, runway planning, pavement construction, drainage systems, and terminal facilities. It helped students understand the practical applications of civil engineering principles in airport development and maintenance. The visit enhanced students’ technical knowledge and bridged the gap between classroom learning and real-world engineering practices.

MRIT Students Win Consolation Prize at BuildTech, Mysuru
Students of Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology (MRIT) participated in BuildTech, a National Technical Seminar on “Resilient Infrastructure and Sustainable Design,” organized by the Builders Association of India in Mysuru. The students showcased their technical knowledge and innovative ideas and secured a Consolation Prize in the event. This achievement reflects their enthusiasm, technical skills, and commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.

Five-Day Hybrid FDP–SDP on "BIM Essentials Using Revit"

A five-day Faculty & Student Development Programme covering BIM concepts, architectural modelling, families and libraries, documentation, scheduling and quantity estimation, 3D visualization and rendering, culminating in a complete BIM-based project. Drew 175 registrations (130 offline, 45 online) from institutions across Mysuru, Karnataka and beyond, bridging academic learning with AEC industry requirements.
